GLSEN Orlando

GLSEN Orlando officially accredited in February 2011
I started organizing a steering committee for a GLSEN (The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) chapter in May 2010. GLSEN is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works to eliminate bullying in schools for all students. In February 2011, GLSEN Orlando became an officially accredited chapter under GLSEN national. I'm very proud to have started this chapter in Orlando, FL. To get involved in more youth related activities please visit a few of our partners For Youth Information and the Human Rights Council of Washington County.

GLSEN Orlando is licensed to operate under the GLSEN banner and is directly supported by Community Initiatives and other departments at the national office of GLSEN. Furthermore, GLSEN Orlando is included under GLSEN, Inc.’s group tax exemption, and contributions made directly to the Chapter are deductible from federal income taxes.
"GLSEN envisions a world in which every child learns to accept and respect all people, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression."
